CASSTM Address Standardization automatically fixes most address data errors and omissions including street names, state abbreviations, 5-digit ZIP codes, carrier route codes and the USPS Delivery Point Bar Code (DPBC) by comparing your address data to the USPS's master-address file. Corrections are made with 99% confidence level as verified by the USPS.

Your result file will contain your original input file with the new, USPS specified address data appended to it.

A USPS proof of accuracy report is provided and a record layout defines field positioning and content.

N = Not CASS Validated

CASS Delivery Point Code 2 This column contains two of the numbers used to construct the delivery point bar code.
CASS Delivery Point Check Digit 1 This column contains a check digit for the delivery point code. It is also used to construct the delivery point bar code.
CASS Carrier Route Code 4 This column contains the carrier route code of the address. This code is used to group and presort mail by mail carrier route.
CASS LOT Sequence Number 6 This column contains the line of travel number for the record.
CASS LOT Error Code 1 0 = A valid LOT code was applied

1 = An invalid ZIP was passed

2 = An invalid ZIP+4 was passed

3 = An invalid carrier route was passed

4 = An invalid delivery point was passed

9 = A blank LOT code was returned because an unmatched condition occurred

CASS LOT Date Stamp 6 This column contains a date stamp for the line of travel sequence number.
CASS Urbanization Name 28 This column contains the urbanization name for Puerto Rico addresses.

F = Firm
